Lemon & Ginger Grilled Salmon Strips
(as found in "Everybody Grills" by Char-Broil)
4 servings | Prep: 25 min. | Marinate: 30 min | Grill: 7-10 min.
1 ½ pound salmon fillet, skin on
¼ cup canola oil
¼ cup lemon juice
1 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoons honey
½ teaspoon ground ginger
1/4cup green onion, chopped
1 teaspoon lemon peel
Cut salmon fillet into 1 ¼” strips. Mix canola oil, lemon juice, soy sauce, honey, ginger, green onion, and lemon peel together in large, shallow glass dish. Add salmon strips, and coat well. Marinate 30 minutes, turning several times. Preheat grill to medium-high. Remove salmon strips from marinade; discard marinade.
Place salmon, skin side up, on grill for 3 minutes. Turn carefully, and continue to cook, skin side down, for an additional 3 to 4 minutes, or until just done and center flakes with fork. To remove strips from grill, run spatula between skin and salmon. This will provide a plate-ready, skinless strip. Garnish dish with chopped green onion, lemon peel, and lemon slices.
